Planting to support wildlife
The Conservation Volunteers in Gloucester managed to squeeze in some much needed hedge planting during the recent stormy weather.

With funding support from Western Power Distribution, TCV Volunteers restored hedges on Kites Hill, a beautiful site on the edge of the Cotswold escarpment.
Holly Paton from TCV who co-ordinated the planting explains: “The hedge will link the woodlands at the top of the escarpment, which are a National Nature Reserve to woods and habitat running just underneath the escarpment.
These newly restored hedges will provide a vital wildlife corridor for birds, bats and mammals to move along the reserve and colonise other areas.”
